"I’ve been actively involved with the Brevard County Bar Association since my first year of practicing law. Through it, I have gotten to know many friends, colleagues, Judges, and other professionals that I probably would not have otherwise met. I’ve truly enjoyed my time serving on the board and look forward to continuing that service in the years to come."

David Reimel*

"I am running for Treasurer of the Brevard County Bar Association because I look forward to continue serving our legal community and, as a former Personal Banker at Fairwinds Credit Union, Bank of America, and Public Service Credit Union, my strengths lie in the financial sector. As Treasurer, I will work closely with our Executive Director and incoming President to ensure that your annual dues are being used in a manner that best serves the Lawyers and Judges in this County. Moreover, I will ensure that our funds are being properly invested and diversified to ensure that the Brevard County Bar Association is in good financial standing for years to come. I have loved serving the BCBA for the past two (2) years and attending all of the events put on by the BCBA as Director, and I look forward to continue to serve all of you in a greater capacity."

"Serving on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association has been both an honor and a meaningful opportunity to give back to the legal community that has supported me throughout my career. I am seeking re-election because I remain committed to advancing the BCBA’s mission of promoting professionalism, education, and collegiality within our profession. We have one of the best legal communities in all of Florida, and it has become my passion to foster relationships that help all of us grow and thrive in our different areas of practice.
As a practicing attorney in Brevard County, I understand the importance of having a connected legal community that not only supports its members, but also serves the public with integrity and compassion. I look forward to continuing to contribute fresh ideas, strong leadership, and dedicated service to help the BCBA and its members grow and thrive for years to come."

"When I moved to Brevard County, I joined the BCBA to get to know the legal community. I was relieved by how welcomed I felt so quickly, but more so, I was impressed by the connections and the friendships I made through my involvement with the BCBA. I first ran for the board with the goal of creating that same welcoming environment for others, and I have continued to serve on the board for the last four years to that end."

"Serving on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association this past year has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I would be honored to continue serving for another term. Over the past year, I was proud to help plan and execute the Spring CLE, while also contributing to the important work the BCBA does to support attorneys throughout Brevard County. Through this service, I have seen firsthand the programs, professionalism, and collegiality that make our Bar Association such a valuable resource for the local legal community, and I am hopeful for the opportunity to continue being a part of that mission."

"Brevard County has been my home for nearly 20 years. It is where I chose to plant my roots, establish my legal career, and build my practice. Over the two decades spent serving this community, I have had the unique privilege of practicing on both sides of the aisle, gaining invaluable experience in both criminal law and civil litigation. Today, as a partner at a well-established local firm, I am deeply invested in the health and success of our legal community. My broad professional background gives me a well-rounded perspective on the diverse needs of our membership. If elected to the Board, my primary goal will be to foster collaboration and work closely with leadership to make our local bar association even more accessible and accommodating to all members. I want to ensure our association serves as a robust resource, a supportive network, and an advocate for every attorney practicing in the Space Coast region. I would be honored to bring my experience, local dedication, and collaborative spirit to the Board of Directors."

"I am asking to be placed on the ballot for a Director position as I am excited to continue the mission of the board of the Brevard County Bar Association in creating a bar association that provides meaningful programming, networking, learning, and serving opportunities for the community and its lawyers. I look forward to bringing new ideas to continue to achieve those goals and support our board with energy and zeal."

"I would like to be on the BCBA Board for a variety of reasons. Lowndes recently acquired RosswaySwan and is growing our presence on the East Coast significantly. Having a presence on the Board will help grow our firm’s presence in Brevard amongst the legal community, as well as the charitable organizations BCBA supports. Further, I am on the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the Brevard Zoo and Bowen Aquarium and think a tie between the two organizations would strengthen BCBA’s integration to growth in our county as well as foster long-term connections, personal and business, for BCBA and all those involved at the Zoo and Aquarium. Lastly, I would like to bring a private wealth and hospitality presence to the BCBA Board. I think having input and expertise from a larger variety of practice areas will help round-out the Board and serve BCBA better in general."

“Serving as BCBA President this year has only deepened how much this organization means to me.  Over the past six years, serving on the BCBA board has been incredibly meaningful – not only professionally, but personally through the friendships and sense of community I’ve found here.  The BCBA truly feels like home to me, and while my term may be ending, I’m not quite ready to step away.  I would be honored to continue serving as a director and bringing the same enthusiasm, ideas, and dedication to the board.”
