"I’m running for President-Elect because I care deeply about this organization and the people in it. YLD has given a lot to me professionally and personally, and I want to help continue building something that young lawyers across Brevard genuinely want to be part of.

One of the biggest things I hope to focus on is finding ways for YLD to better serve Brevard’s active-duty and veteran community. With my military background, that’s something that’s personally important to me. Brevard has a huge military and veteran population, and I think there are a lot of opportunities for us to get involved, build relationships, and give back in ways that actually make an impact.

I’d also like to help strengthen YLD’s relationships outside of the legal profession. We live in a community filled with professionals from the aerospace industry, healthcare, engineering, finance, education, and small business communities. I think there’s real value in us showing up in those spaces—not just to network, but to build genuine connections, create collaborative events, and expand sponsorship opportunities for the organization."

"It has been a privilege to serve as a Member-at-Large on the BCBA Young Lawyers Division Board this past year. Through YLD, I have enjoyed building relationships with fellow attorneys at networking events, serving our community through initiatives such as beachcleanups, and helping advance the division's mission. I also had the opportunity to develop YLD's grant proposal for the Florida Bar YLD Affiliate Outreach Conference and present the proposal at the AOC Conference this year. That experience reinforced theimpact our division can have both within our legal community and beyond it.

As President-Elect, I hope to continue the work from our grant proposal and expand practical CLE programming that helps young lawyers develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the courtroom and throughout their careers. I also hope to strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships with attorney organizations throughout our community, creating additional opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. Finally, I would like to continue growing YLD's commitment to service through initiatives that support local families, youth, and community organizations, including school supply and clothing drives to hands-on volunteer opportunities that allow young lawyers to make a meaningful impact in the community.

I look forward to helping YLD continue to connect young lawyers, develop future leaders, and serve our community while strengthening both our young lawyers and the community we are proud to call home."

"My desire for serving on the YLD board is to help make the events we host something you look forward to every month, not just another task on your calendar. Our lives are mostly dominated by electronic and faceless interactions; I want to be able to provide opportunities for lawyers in our area to share victories, vent, collaborate, and establish meaningful connections. I have some ideas for the upcoming year which I am excited to transform from plans to reality. One of these ideas is hosting an event with other YLD boards from our neighboring counties which would allow us to connect with other young professionals from outside our home base. Another idea I have in mind is a service day for the employees and staff of the Moore Justice Center where we partner with local vendors to serve meals to the staff of the courthouse. I believe it will be a great opportunity to show our appreciation and support for those who are essential to our ability to practice law and do not always get the recognition they deserve for making everything run smoothly behind the scenes."

"Serving the legal community has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career, and I am honored to seek election as Secretary of the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. As an attorney focused on elder law, estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters, I understand the importance of compassion, professionalism, and strong advocacy in serving both clients and our community.

I am committed to fostering a supportive and connected environment for young attorneys throughout Brevard County by encouraging mentorship, professional development, and meaningful engagement within the legal profession. I believe the strength of our legal community lies in the relationships we build, the integrity we uphold, and the service we provide to others.

Through my experience in both law and public service, I bring strong communication skills, organization, and dedication to collaborative leadership. As Secretary, I look forward to helping the Young Lawyers Division continue to grow by promoting involvement, supporting its members, and creating opportunities for young attorneys to thrive both professionally and personally."

Julian Poltun

"My name is Julian Poltun, and I am excited for the opportunity to introduce myself as a candidate for the 2026–2027 BCBA Young Lawyers Division Board.

I was born and raised in Brevard County, so this community has always meant a lot to me. It is not just where I work. It is home. I take a lot of pride in being from Brevard, and I would love the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way while helping strengthen the connection between our young lawyers, local organizations, and the people we serve

I am especially interested in being involved with community service projects, philanthropy, programming, and networking events. I think the Young Lawyers Division is in a great position to bring young attorneys together in ways that are both enjoyable and meaningful. Whether through service projects, charitable events, CLEs, social events, or partnerships with local organizations, I want to help create opportunities that benefit our members and also make a positive impact throughout Brevard County.

My goal is to help elevate the YLD’s presence in the community and show not only Brevard County, but also our surrounding counties, that our Young Lawyers Division is active, organized, and capable of being a real force for leadership, service, and professional growth.

When I am not working, I enjoy staying active, spending time with family and friends, being near the water, playing golf, watching sports, and grilling out.

I would be honored to serve, contribute, and help build on the momentum of the Board for the upcoming year."

"I am excited to seek a second term as Director At Large for the Brevard Young Lawyers Division. Serving on the Board has been an incredibly rewarding experience, fostering professionalism, leadership, and meaningful networking opportunities within our legal community. Over the past year, we successfully planned and executed several outstanding events, and I would be honored to continue contributing to the Division’s growth and success.

I am particularly eager to serve another term because of the opportunity to strengthen relationships with fellow professionals throughout our community and expand our outreach beyond the legal field. Building strong connections and collaborative partnerships is essential to supporting both our members and the communities we serve.

In addition to continuing our professional and networking initiatives, one of my primary goals for the coming year is to increase community service involvement through the Division. Some of my most meaningful experiences with the YLD have been our service-oriented events benefiting underserved members of our community, particularly our fundraising efforts with Crosswinds Youth Services. Looking ahead, I would welcome the opportunity to organize additional service projects in partnership with The Children's Hunger Project, The Boys and Girls Club and similar organizations that make a direct and lasting impact on local families and children.

It would be a privilege to continue serving on the Board and contributing to the mission and future of the Brevard YLD."

"I am honored to run for Member-at-Large of the Brevard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. As a Brevard County native, this community is not just where I practice, it is home, and that means everything to me.
I am approaching my fifth year of practicing law and after practicing in Alabama, I returned to Melbourne in 2023. I joined Lyons Law Group, where I continue to serve clients with the dedication this community deserves. My commitment to service also extends beyond the office through volunteer work with non profit organizations in Brevard like New Life Mission (a nonprofit dedicated to serving homeless women and children) and my role as Treasurer on the board of Brevard Ballet Youth Company. Because I believe that showing up for our community, in all its forms, is part of what it means to truly call Brevard home.
As a proud military spouse to a U.S. Air Force officer, I have a deep personal appreciation for the sacrifices made by our service members and their families and I know Brevard County shares that appreciation! I would love to help!"

"The Young Lawyers Division strives to make our legal community feel smaller, more connected, and more supportive. As a Member-at-Large, I would be honored to help continue and strengthen that mission. Through YLD, I have seen the value of fostering relationships not only among young lawyers, but also with the broader community we serve. I hope to continue building those connections by welcoming new attorneys into our profession and strengthening partnerships with non-legal community organizations. I am excited for the opportunity to further the sense of connection that makes YLD so impactful."

"I am running for an At-Large Board Member position for the 2026-2027 YLD board as I am excited to continue to propel the YLD’s mission forward of providing meaningful programming, networking, and serving opportunities in Brevard County to younger legal professionals. The Space Coast is growing and the YLD’s membership continues to expand with our community’s growth. I look forward to working with and assisting the Board with creating and hosting events, growing the membership, and engaging in new opportunities throughout the next year."
